It now affords us a journey through the centuries with all the history and culture, without missing the slightest detail of the landscape along the way, and enjoying all of the comforts imaginable in this luxury train.

Al Andalus Expreso is a luxury hotel on wheels, a unique vantage point from which to admire the Spanish countryside. In its interior can be found all manner of exquisiteness, refinement and services from a bygone era, and which transport us through a time tunnel to the glamour of the Belle Epoque, reminding us that it is still possible to re-live the pleasure. Traveling aboard this magic train across the vast and varied landscape of the Peninsula is an unforgettable experience. A privilege of romantic recollections marked with the stamp of elegance and distinction.

Al Andalus is made up of twelve cars, two restaurant cars, a lounge and games car, five sleeping cars, two shower cars and staff car.

Welcome modern touches on board range from traveling robes and slippers in each room, to air conditioning, television and cellular telephones.

Day 1: Madrid - Arrive at the Madrid Airport where you will be transferred to the deluxe Ritz Hotel for overnight. Free time in Madrid.

Day 2: Madrid-Seville-Cordoba - Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Atocha railway station and travel on the AVE high-speed train to Seville. On arrival at Seville, board the Al Andalus and shortly thereafter depart for Cordoba. A welcome cocktail will be served. Lunch on board on the way to Cordoba. After lunch, a sightseeing tour of Cordoba will include the famed Mosque and the old Jewish Quarter. In the evening, dinner at a restaurant in Cordoba’s Jewish Quarter. Return to the Al Andalus for overnight luxury on the way to Granada.

Day 3: Granada - After breakfast on board, sightseeing of Granada will include the Alhambra and a visit to the incomparable Generalife Gardens, summer palace of the Moorish kings. After lunch at a restaurant in Granada, there will be free time to enjoy the town and do some shopping. After dinner in Granada, we will go to the train for our overnight stay.

Day 4: Granada-Antequera - While having breakfast on board, start moving up to "Finca la Bobadilla" for lunch. After lunch, back to the train to visit Antequera, a typical Andalusian village. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight on the Al Andalus train.

Day 5: Ronda-Seville - After breakfast on board, visit of Ronda, the scene of the last great rising of the moors against Ferdinand and Queen Isabella Nobles of Spain. Visit the old house of Marques de Salvatierra and the oldest bullring in Spain. Lunch will be at the Parador of Ronda, return to the train and continue to Seville. In the evening enjoy a dinner and flamenco show. Overnight on the Al Andalus.

Day 6: Seville-Jerez-Seville - Sightseeing begins after breakfast with an excursion by coach to the town whose name has been anglicised to "Sherry". Visit the local sherry cellars and also the most famous horse show in the world, the Royal Spanish Riding School. Lunch at a restaurant in Jerez de la Frontera. After lunch we will drive back to Seville where we will have some free time to enjoy the train or go for a walk. Return to the train to prepare for a Gala Dinner on board the Al Andalus train. Overnight on board.

Day 7: Seville-Madrid - Breakfast on board and panoramic tour of the city, visiting the Cathedral and Santa Cruz Quarter. Farewell to Al Andalus. Board the AVE high speed train for the journey from Seville to Madrid. End of the trip at Atocha Railway station at 16.30.

This year all trains are suite compartments based on double occupancy.

Showers - Two cars are devoted exclusively to showers.  Each of the spacious, high-tech showers contains its own dressing room, and passengers are thoroughly pampered with cotton robes, slippers, luxurious gels, shampoos and soaps.
